Curtis Thompson is exactly what Ward 11 and the City of Cleveland needs- a person with proactive ideas, real life experience and ambition blended with the energy and vitality to carry his and our visions forward. Curtis has the intelligence and willingness to truly work with others that have sorely been lacking in Ward 11 for more than a generation. Some give lip service to catch phrases but the people are still waiting for action. It’s clearly time for change. Ward 11, stand up and be counted.

Our ward needs a real leader. Our ward needs someone who knows what the term 'progressive' means. We need a person who is not afraid to engage our youth and encourage them to participate in our process. We need a grassroots movement to grow our community. We need a person that can funnel the people's needs from a bottom up approach. That person is Curtis L. Thompson I and fully endorse him.
Ocie Pastard Endorses Curtis L. Thompson II

I’m endorsing Curtis L. Thompson II, because he is young with great
ideas, a good vision and is greatly needed in for our community at this
time. Curtis will refuse to be a back bencher and is a product of what
society itself has been working to produce as a progressive citizen.

I’ve been a resident for over 21 years. I’ve seen our community change
and our leadership has not changed with it. Ward 11 it’s time to move
forward. Let’s elect Curtis L. Thompson II.

Sometimes professional athletes hang on just a little past their prime. The same thing can be said for politicians. The current Councilman has had a long stint. He was my councilman since the early 1980's when I grew up in North Collinwood near East 147th and Lakeshore Blvd. I started a law practice in the neighborhood in 1985 and he remained my councilman since 1991 when I moved my residency but continued to remain connected to the neighborhood by maintaining my office in Ward 11.

Unfortunately, times change and his opinions which were shaped from the 80's get cemented in. I, as a local business owner, have been trying to move past the "Old World" label from years past and embrace the changes in Demographics in the Ward the past 10 years. Its the New Millennium.

We have the opportunity to elect new and dynamic leadership and someone who is rooted long term in Cleveland. Not only has he and his family lived in Cleveland in Wards 10 and 11 life long, but Curtis Thompson furthered his education but also has stayed on the forefront of new opportunities that the world offers today in the form of technology. A necessary skill in for the new Millennium.

Not only does he have the drive and ambition to improve himself, he has the drive and mental ability to work with others as a team on projects and programs that develop the neighborhood and create good jobs and economic vibrancy to the Ward. He has that ability to listen to others who may have a different point of view. This is necessary since the problems of this neighborhood will have to be a "team" approach.

In addition, I see him as an inspirational advocate for not only displaced Ward 11 residents but also for all City of Cleveland residents. I strongly recommend him as a move forward for Ward 11.
